Welcome to MigChat (the "App"). We highly value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our premium messaging application.
By downloading, installing, or using MigChat, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. PRIMARY SECURITY: END-TO-END ENCRYPTION (E2EE) 🔐
MigChat is designed with a primary focus on absolute privacy. We use an End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) system based on cryptographic industry standards (RSA 2048-bit and AES-256):
- Private Messages: All your private text messages are encrypted locally on your device before being sent to the server.
- Restricted Access: Only you and the chat recipient hold the private keys to decrypt and read the messages.
- No Server Access: Our servers (including Firebase Cloud Services) only act as a medium to deliver encrypted data. We do not possess the decryption keys and are technically unable to read the contents of your private messages, images, or audio.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
To provide optimal chat services and social features, we collect the following minimal information:
- Account Information (Provided by You): Registration Data (Email address and password when creating an account via Firebase Authentication, or basic profile if you log in using Google Sign-In) and User Profile (Username, optional profile picture, level/XP, and VIP membership status).
- Conversation Content: Public Chats (Public Rooms) are stored on the server so they can be read by all members of that room. Private Chats are stored fully encrypted (E2EE) on the server. You can permanently delete your private chat history at any time.
3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & ADVERTISING 🌐
We work with third-party service providers for the functionality and monetization of the app:
- Google Play Services: For login processes, authentication, and app updates.
- Firebase (Google LLC): We use Firebase Auth, Firestore Database, Firebase Storage, and Cloud Functions to manage accounts and instantly deliver chat data.
- Google AdMob: We display advertisements within the app to help fund server operations. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier (such as the Google Advertising ID) to show relevant ads.
4. DATA & ACCOUNT DELETION (USER DATA DELETION) ❌
We give you full control over your own data:
- Delete Chats: You can use the "Clear Chat" feature to permanently delete chat messages for yourself or for everyone in the conversation.
- Delete Account: You can request or permanently delete your account directly through the Profile Settings menu within the App. Once the account is deleted, all your profile data (including username, photo, VIP level, and E2EE public keys) will be permanently removed from our active database within 24 hours.
5. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
